Phd thesis population genetics

Description
This thesis consists of firstly, a study of the local genetic dynamics occurring in a native population of Eucalyptus globulus, and secondly, an examination of genetic diversity within the Australian E. globulus breeding population. Fine scale spatial genetic structure within a continuous E. globulus forest on the Tinderbox Hills, Tasmania, was examined by genotyping mature trees (n = ) and. Projects are a combination of internal research, undergraduate and graduate thesis research and contract work with outside agencies. If you are a state agency, looking to have genetic analyses conducted please contact us at () or [email protected] The overall goal of my dissertation was to combine the approaches applied in population genetics to identify genetic diversity within and among populations, with concepts derived from network theory to better understand how the riverscape influenced spatial genetic structure of Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) populations in Siletz River.

Population genetics of Metrosideros bartlettii. The final half of this thesis has focused upon the population genetics and genomics of T. brucei, the species responsible for sleeping sickness in humans. Examination of five of T. b. rhodesiense populations, four from Uganda and one from Malawi has demonstrated the potential for variation in the population structure within a single species.
